North Andover, MA -  The Boston Junior Whalers Elite Hockey Club is pleased to share that life-long BJW '07 forward, CJ Watroba, has committed to Merrimack College for the Fall of 2025.

CJ, a native of West Springfield, MA, grew up playing his youth hockey with the Springfield Rifles program, as well as the Minuteman Flames.  He first suited up for the Boston Junior Whalers as a mite back in 2014, and has been a staple member of our program since.

He spent the past two seasons, as a freshman and sophomore, helping lead the charge of a strong Pope St. Francis (HS-MA) offense in the MIAA.  In 2022-23, CJ's offensive dominance was paramount in Pope St. Francis' capturing of the Massachusetts Division I State Championship.  This season, CJ has taken his talents north to New Hampshire by way of the prep route, and is off to a great start at Kimball Union Academy.

We are proud of CJ and all of the work he has put in thus far in his hockey journey. Congratulations to CJ, his father Chris, and the rest of his family on this tremendous milestone, and we can't wait to see what you can do at the NCAA Division I level!
