Boston, MA -  The Boston Junior Whalers Elite Hockey Club is proud to share that 21 of our former & current players received invitations to, and are participating in various 2023 NHL Development camps across North America.

Every year, each NHL team holds a Development (Rookie) Camp that consists of players they drafted this past June, players they have drafted in the past, and free agent camp invites.  Often times, these draft picks and free agent camp invites are NCAA players.

The NHL Development Camps run in different intervals over the course of July 1, 2023 through July 14, 2023.  We are very proud of our alumni who were selected as camp invites to these camps at the top level of the game, and are rooting on all of our draft picks in hopes that they have the chance to make their respective team.

"For those players that were not drafted and didn't receive a camp invite, do not let that define you," said BJW's Mike Cusack.  "Use it as motivation, make sure you're taking no days off and working harder than the next guy," he continued.

Congratulations to all of our BJW players taking part in the 2023 NHL Development Camps, and we're looking forward to whats next!
