13 Boston Junior Whalers Selected in 2019 NHL Entry Draft

Boston, MA - The Boston Junior Whalers are excited to share that a remarkable 13 current and former players were selected last week at the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. 

The group was headlined by four players in Matt Boldy, Thomas Harley, Connor McMichael, and Johnny Beecher all being selected in the First Round.

Below you will find a complete list of Boston Junior Whalers 1999, 2000 and 2001-born players who were selected in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft:
 

Round #1:

Matt Boldy - Minnesota Wild  (U.S. NTDP Team - Boston College / 12th Overall)

Thomas Harley - Dallas Stars (Mississauga Steelheads OHL / 18th Overall)

Connor McMichael - Washington Capitals (Hamilton Bulldogs / 25th Overall)

Johnny Beecher - Boston Bruins (U.S. NTDP Team - University of Michigan / 30th Overall)

Round #3:

Zac Jones - New York Rangers (Tri City Storm USHL - UMass Amherst / 68th Overall)

Round #4:

Tyce Thompson - New Jersey Devils (Providence College / 96th Overall)

Cade Webber - Carolina Hurricanes (The Rivers School -Boston University / 99th Overall)

Round #5:

Cooper Moore - Detroit Red Wings (The Brunswick School - University of North Dakota / 128th Overall)

Keean Washkurak - St. Louis Blues (Mississauga Steelheads OHL / 155th Overall)

Round #6:

Braden Doyle - Los Angeles Kings (Dubuque Fighting Saints USHL - Boston University / 157th Overall)

John Malone - Vancouver Canucks (Youngstown Phantoms USHL - Cornell University / 180th Overall)

Kevin Wall - Carolina Hurricanes (Chilliwack Chiefs BCHL - Penn State University / 181st Overall)

Round #7:

Aidan McDonough - Vancouver Canucks (Cedar Rapids RoughRiders USHL - Northeastern University / 195th Overall)
